Additionally, this adaptation doesn’t attempt to remaster or modify the game textures. Unfortunately, it leaves large black areas on either side of your device. Lastly, since the original game was designed for square screens, this also translates to the screen. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support external controllers or gamepads, making it extra difficult to enjoy. This is particularly challenging because the controller also includes shoulder buttons on top of the standard directional and action buttons. In this unofficial mobile remake, you get to enjoy similar Nintendo 64 controls, mapped on a touch screen. It has spawned a couple of sequels over the years, including Super Smash Bros Ultimate in 2018. Instead of driving down your opponent’s health, you increase your damage counter and aim to send the enemy flying. It has distinguished itself for having a unique gameplay mechanic for a fighting game. ![]() Essentially, Super Smash Bros is the first title, originally released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 gaming console. ![]()
